You can probably find beginners groups on your local gaming store or discord servers with online campaigns for newcomers. The community is usually pretty welcoming from my personal experience.

I tried other ways but I am faster and have a smoother finish this way. And I cannot disappoint all the Portuguese nannas' by denouncing it 😅

I use Portuguese style, which is neither continental or English. I just learned like that as a child and I can hold tension evenly, purl stitch is also faster that way when starting out.
