Hey thanks! Appreciate the feedback.

It’s very strange. Part of it can definitely be attributed to Jordan masking their deficiencies. But man for man, it seems like the veterans have regressed. Hard to figure out.

Cool. Then I’ll probably engage about the same amount over here if that’s how it goes. I know the product sucks without being told it over and over and over.

Being frustrated and angry is completely understandable. Who wouldn’t be? I just got tired of the response to every post being to crap on the program and everyone associated with it.

People have the right to want to live that way and express those opinions. But not what I want to engage with 24/7.

Once they started dropping DJ back 40 times/game early in year, I knew they were sunk. That was never going to be the recipe for success w/ him at QB and these WRs. But they couldn’t run the ball, and I think that doomed them. Anyway, those are my thoughts. Thanks again for not screaming at me! lol

Honestly, in my opinion, most of the problems of this season go back to them being wrong on the OL. If Norvell thought he wouldn’t be able to run the ball and provide good pass-pro, there’s no chance he signs DJ.

But they were wrong on that … I’m guessing mostly because JT masked deficiencies.

The other mistake in context was we thought the OL was better than it was. So did Norvell and Atkins obviously. So when the D-Line dominated the OL in stretches of practice, we again assumed that meant the D-Line might be great. We never thought the OL would be this bad. No one in the program did.

There were two other big context clues that made us feel good about the D-Line. One was the large numbers of scouts who were coming to practice and basically drooling over them. Those are the same guys who told Thamel that it was the most talented group in the country. As I said, they LOOK the part.

And Farmer and Payton both got bigger and ostensibly stronger. So you’re expecting even more from them.

As far as what we see in practice, I’m not trying to make excuses, but they generally don’t tackle to the ground in practice. They do in scrimmages, but we don’t get to see those. (Con’t)
