This is the most essential advice. Volume and diversity of experiences. Highly recommended that you do this for at least an hour each day, for multiple days in a row, and get good sleep.
You should feel a huge increase in your control and intuition after only 3 days.

Vary how hard you press with your pencil. Draw some things big on the page and others small. Sometimes even break the rules and spend way too long on one drawing.
Indecision wastes a lot of time. To keep the speed up, just draw objects around you at random, or the first thing you think of.

At the same time, make sure to get a diversity of experiences:
Draw some easy things like a basketball, and draw very difficult things like a face or motorcycle. Draw some things multiple times.
Draw things with different textures and surfaces like fur, spikes, scales, crumpled, crinkled, wrinkled.

Draw as much as possible.
To that end, draw fast and don't spend too much time on any one drawing. The more pages you fill up with doodles the better. Despite all that, make every quick drawing an HONEST try. Spend a moment to look at it and say "eh that sucks" or "hey not bad", and move on quickly.

The first few Assassin's Creeds were truly special, luxuriously made experiences.
Craftsmanship and artistic chops that are hard to come by in even the most expensive games of today.
