Small town gamer. Occassional streamer.
I picked it up within the first week or so of the PS4 release. Played blind for a long time, but eventually watched some streams from LinOnline.

While I don't like using the same source for two points, I can't find a more condensed way of sharing it.

Where does your version of hell come from?

Jesus was often criticized by the religious leaders for keeping company with sinners. The Pharisees were obseessed with holding everyone to the letter of the law and flaunting their own adherence to it.

I am not aware of any scripture that encourages using political power to force others to follow the Christian beliefs. If you have one, I'd be interested to hear it.

Rev. Benjamin Cremer's original post refer's to mixing the religious beliefs and political beliefs together.

Legislating a morality.

Within personal relationships there are obviously times when you can and should encourage change and receive the same advice.

How do you define "sin?" Are you sure your guidelines are the correct ones?

While this video starts as a conversation about homosexuality, it gets to the point about how we all negotiate what we think the Bible defines as "sin."

That we are *all* siblings created in His image, while we all fall short. We are called to love one another radically to where in early Acts, there are none among us lacking what they need.

The focus is on love and sacrifice, forgiveness and acceptance. Not on following a code of conduct to a "T."

The message is on loving others, often focused on the poor and the marginalized. It is about not thinking highly of ourselves and remembering that we are only saved by grace and not by anything we can do ourselves. That God loves us all even while we are still sinners.

Usually Paul talked about sin as reflection on the human condition.

Paul used "love" 100 times, almost always as a description of God's relationship with us or in relation to how we are supposed to live in relation to God and others.

In the Bible, Jesus uses the word "sin" 59 times, only two of which tell the hearer to stop sinning.

He uses the word "love" 65 times, repeatedly instructing His followers to love God, neighbor, self, enemy, and Himself.

Paul uses "sin" 70 times, only 3 times as a warning to stop sinning.

Mine was the table style cabinet Pac-Man. I was like 4 years old.

This collection of controllers is missing ones I played on though. No Odyssey 2 or Intellivision controllers. Regardless, my first console was an Atari 2600.

I was definitely on the conservative side growing up with Pat Robertson on TV every night until my mid-teens. Been running the other direction for the last 15 years or so.

I guess I'm hoping to see more people share a common interest in games and such rather than try to convince others that they're wrong for liking something.
