BTW, I follow SWs specifically to humanize them more. I much prefer to get a glimpse behind the curtain now and again, rather than get nothing but marketing content (not that I mind it, it's the "work" part, right?)

Could that be considered aftercare? Albeit third party aftercare... Well, except for the undoubtedly therapy inducing adolescence of yours (tongue in cheek; I'm sure my mom would have some words about my own youth).

Dunno... I'm a big guy, and normally metabolize things quickly, but a 5mg edible will see me motionless on the couch for hours. Detached from reality and untethered from time. I don't know if it's a lack of tolerance, or the neurodiversity (AuDHD), but they just hit me hard.

But the 12 steps didn't work for me (it was an SAA-based program), although I have managed to reign in the worst of my excesses. The most useful part of the program might have been the therapy, if I thought it would work for me. My AuDHD brain "figures out" the CBT "tricks", and laughs them off. 🙄😒

Hmm... Having been through inpatient treatment for just that, I can say that it's sure nice to be able to point to an addiction as the cause of your problems. Plus, it's easy to see porn, or rather masturbation, as a "process addiction" akin to gambling addiction and some eating disorders.

there, touching an arm to get attention or maintain contact in a noisy environment (esp critical when one is both partially deaf and profoundly AuDHD). But nothing overtly sexualized. No ass-grabbing or the like. Ok, maybe the knee turns into the thigh... But for the most part, keeping it classy.

I support the anime model for PDAs, where hand-holding is significant, hugs are rare, but deeply fulfilling, and kissing is reserved for when you are alone and can really focus on it.

But I also thrill at casual touch: a hand on the knee, gently laying a hand on their back to let them know you're

It's been ages (decades), but I have fond memories of thinly sliced and fried Spam as a replacement for bacon in breakfast and BLTs. Usually on overnight trips where supplies were limited. It was never an "at home" food. We were bourgeois AF...

Weaksauce. My parents took us to see it on opening day. Managed to catch the second seating at the theater in Nashville (they were graduate students at Peabody College that summer). Waited in the summer heat, and you just "auditioned"... Then I saw "Corvette Summer", and appreciated ILM.🫣😁

It's on YouTube Music. Spotify may not have access to the Modern Lovers catalog...

Gah! I meant it takes serious diagnosis for gender dysphoria.

I get my meds in the morning...😁

off body dysphoria, but the instances of someone needing surgery to correct body dysphoria are pretty unique (you could probably track down someone who required an amputation to remove a limb, or some such).
And my AuDHD is obviously showing... 😐 I should probably get off of social media until

discuss the similarities and differences between gender dysphoria and body dysphoria, and why one is considered a false view of reality, and the other a case of reality being out of sync. Although my guess is that it takes some serious diagnosis and therapy to nail down body dysphoria. Not to brush

Which is interesting, given that the science and evidence support gender dysphoria as a real condition. But go ahead and tell the young (or old) people who hate the body they see in the mirror that what they experience doesn't really exist.
Sadly, I don't have the background and training to...

Mmm... As the parent of a trans/non-binary teen, I will have to disagree with you. And it saddens me to think that you would deny gender dysphoria, which is, in one sense, a very specific form of body dysphoria.
