That gliding camera shot, the positioning of each character outside the ship, the creeping effect of the alien sound-wave, the slow reveal of the alien as the viewers’ pulse rates quicken with the introduction of the incidental music. Superb stuff. 70 years later and it really couldn’t be improved…

Apart from anything else, from the photo it’s clear that she desperately needs the money to treat the awful mould problem that plaguing her shoulders…
