this whole thing started because most people on this thread are conflating atheism and agnosticism. i see your projections. godspeed lol

oh sorry again for these edits, it asserts that it is absent of belief in the existence of deities.
August 12, 2025 at 5:45 PM
sorry, it asserts that it doesn't believe in god.
August 12, 2025 at 5:42 PM
I'm really going with the broadest definition as stated by wikipedia. The OP stated that "atheism asserts nothing". I'm pointing to the fact that in the broadest sense, it asserts that god doesn't exist.

This text is mostly about morality. I didn't speak to that topic at all.

We we're arguing about the definition of atheism vs agnosticism. You said about atheism: "Rejection of a claim is NOT an assertion of it's negative."

From the link you sent: "Disbelief in or denial of the existence of God..."

Oh it was an honest request. Show me where I'm wrong instead of using bully tactics.

Educate me without contradicting yourself and I'll gladly leave.
August 12, 2025 at 4:25 PM
I'm just here for the cognitive dissonance
August 12, 2025 at 4:14 PM
You don't see how you're playing with semantics here, contradicting yourself in a paragraph?

Atheism IS the belief that there is no god.

And agnosticism doesn't say that "it could be true". It says that the question is irrelevant because it is unknowable.
August 12, 2025 at 4:05 PM
It's not a generalization it's literally the definition of the words.

You're describing the philosophy of agnosticism more than atheism. Simply because atheism does assert the negative of theism. Hence the prefix A.
August 12, 2025 at 3:53 PM
it's still an assertion. maybe you meant agnostic?
August 11, 2025 at 11:34 PM
Or maybe they're good friends and low income families on both sides of the border are getting fucked?
August 1, 2025 at 10:46 PM
lol like we don't do this here
August 1, 2025 at 10:14 PM
et bientôt la loi c-2. on assiste a une réelle fusion du privé et du public. c'est quoi se fever-dream totalitaire?

this is not a good message.

it isn't a given that governments are there to protect you.

that's your job, to make sure you don't get your toes stepped on.

the original saying has much more depth than this drivel

Exactly, sabotage coming from all fronts. All of these candidates have authoritarian wet dreams, so do their followers.

What makes Canada, Canada is imperialism and colonialism.
April 17, 2025 at 10:44 PM
I get what you're saying, I just dislike authoritarian behaviour.

Following the debate, RDI did a roundtable discussion and it was essentially a liberal panel.

Refusing to answer questions is a bad look and it appeals to divisiveness, which is a trait of the devil, if not its very definition.
April 17, 2025 at 10:31 PM
well, to be fair, a good politician should be able to dismantle loaded questions.
April 17, 2025 at 10:16 PM
exceeded low expectations lol
Vote Carney!
April 17, 2025 at 5:17 AM
ils sont tous incompétent si pas criminels, un gouvernement minoritaire serait le résultat idéal étant donné notre réalité électorale. fake democracy, always has been.
April 17, 2025 at 5:01 AM
comment ça se peut qu'ils ne soient pas tous morts?
April 17, 2025 at 4:59 AM
He lies, they have very little in common. Carney is almost more conservative than Poilievre. Carney is literally an oligarch.
