In my desert punk setting, there is the small village of Pretty Place. A small shantytown sprouted under the ruins of a stack interchange (precisely the Bundesautobahn 40 and California State Route 1). More of an outpost for merchants, scavengers, prospectors, and adventurers than a real city.
