Perspective matters. When it comes to vegetation management, it’s not just about seeing what’s close to lines; it’s about understanding the full picture. Wide-area mapping lets utilities view their entire network, pinpoint risk zones, and prioritize where to go first.

We recently wrapped up a project with Manitoba Hydro, covering 52,000 km² in just 9 flying days over a 2.5-week period.

That’s 14 flights in 9 days - five days with double missions. A true team effort to deliver high-quality data at scale, on schedule.

The jet is back! Fresh out of its 12-year Learjet maintenance check, the jet is tuned up, polished, and ready to fly. We’re excited to kick things off with a new project this week: assessing utility line encroachment from above when the summer canopy shows us the trouble spots at its peak.

In celebration of the Calgary Stampede, we’re tipping our hats to the spirit, landscapes, and communities that define this place, like the Rodeo Grounds at Rocky Mountain House captured on a recent flight.

This week, the West is on display, and we’re proud to see it from above!

What can a trampoline tell you? Actually quite a lot.

Maybe it’s about neighborhood demographics (families with kids near a school), maybe it’s risk profiling (insurance teams tracking features that increase liability). Imagery provides insights, even when it's something as simple as trampolines.

This image highlights why IO Imagery is setting a new standard in aerial imaging. Even from 30,000 feet, the runway marking “SUNDRIE” is sharp and legible, which extends to fine details like asphalt linework, all made possible by our 10 cm resolution!
