Thenbara smiles easily, but she always smiles most contentedly when looking at someone she loves. Her peaceful smile, filled with quiet joy from being close to someone she cares about, is radiant.

I have dozens of images of Thenbara smiling, but this one, even imperfectly timed, is my favourite.

Thenbara has a few scars on her face from a barfight in Baldur's Gate, when she was an apprentice. She won. One is on her forehead, above her left eye. One is through the end of her right eyebrow. One is across the right side of her mouth, next to her tusk. The last is on the left side of her chin.

“What is this word? ‘Shy’. I don’t know it”.

When Thenbara goes to bathe in the river and finds Astarion already there, he's entertained by her lack of inhibition about nudity. He suggests that others in the camp would be more shy, and Thenbara has never heard the word before.

Thenbara's style is mostly practical. With clothing, as long as it's clean, in good repair, fits and vaguely suits her, it's fine. Though after ripping her camp shirt at Wyrm's Lookout, she did treat herself to a smart new outfit.

Thenbara doesn't really do flirting, just candour.

Thenbara sees beauty in many things. A spring flower. A frosty meadow. A moonlit glade. A breathtaking view. A fit, happy horse. A freshly honed blade. A carefully crafted set of armour. A lavishly decorated cake. The faces of her companions. Beauty is everywhere, one just has to look.

Thenbara's limits are tested if people are cruel to her loved ones. She can handle people being rude to her, but when they're rude or otherwise awful to her friends, she won't let it stand. When Wyll asked Astarion how the rat diet was going, it took all her self-control not to physically harm him.

Thenbara has dotted tattoos in pale blue on her face (the ones loads of Tavs have, because they're gorgeous). Hers mean that she's Groth Kelnvorna - free from the cruellest death - in her stronghold. They continue down her neck and over her whole body, and glow when her temperature rises.

Thenbara wants to get rid of her tadpole and defeat the Cult of the Absolute so that the Sword Coast is safe again. But mostly, she just wants to get back home to the stronghold, and she can't do that as long as she's infected.

Thenbara is a friendly, generous and optimistic person. She's rarely cruel, and assumes every new person she encounters is just a friend she hasn't met yet - until they show her otherwise.

She's a big fan of nature, and spends time in the forest to calm herself. She loves the smell of petrichor.

Thenbara doesn't really have a vice, though she'll occasionally overindulge at dinner - especially if it's slow-roasted pork.

Occasionally she'll give in to her hunger for combat, but her bloodlust is racial trait, not a vice; the call of a thousand generations of warriors in her lineage.

Thenbara is very sociable. She goes out of her way to be friendly to everyone she meets, and not just to reassure them that her slightly fearsome appearance is nothing to be scared of. She's always happy to talk and make new friends, and even happier to cwtch.

All Thenbara wants is to get back to the stronghold, safe and tadpole-free. That is her dream.

More literally, since her infection she's had troubled dreams - as seen and heard by her companions - but doesn't remember them when she wakes.

Thenbara is a classic barbarian; enthusiastic with a warhammer and subtle as a brick. Nothing will ever be more satisfying to her than bludgeoning her opponent.

While she sparred regularly in the stronghold, she doesn't with her companions, as they get enough practise on their daily adventures.

I'm trying to post more pictures of Thenbara for Tavember, so here's one that shows her age fairly well. This was her first night after the nautiloid, camping in the Overgrown Ruins.
