Philosophy student, aspiring generalist (perhaps in vain). When the going gets English, I’m a Liverpudlian.
Day 1 of successfully overcoming maladaptive daydreaming (MD) urges. The aim is to keep it this way for the next eight months, hopefully channelling the urge to productive activities.

200 open tabs, over 20 books to take notes from, more than 400 web links bookmarked — the backlog is killing me. And…(I forgot) notepad scribblings of ideas and brainstorming sessions to be made sense of.

I sometimes wonder how some uni students, scholars or those with research-intensive jobs manage to keep their desks speckless. My desk is a jamboree of all the things I want to read, have been reading, read and might want to revisit. In addition, there are countless bills, stationery and a PC.

Catalonia produces about €270 *billion* in GDP, or 1/5 of Spain's total. It has 8m people, and millions more speak the language in the Balearics and Valencia. When people complain about the cost, I want to reply: it's a *lot* cheaper than losing, or even just alienating, a huge chunk of the country.
