The study, published in the journal Global Ecology and Conservation, accurately predicts changes in photosynthetic capacity across a wide variety of species in different strata and environmental conditions, thus demonstrating the robustness and applicability of the model.

This model helps predict the photosynthesis and respiration response of native species in Tenerife to variations in radiation, temperature, humidity, and soil water deficit, which is of significant interest for forecasting future climate scenarios.
