It’s def interesting to see our reverse experiences! My industry job is a bit of dumpster fire work wise, just lots of problems, constantly busy, and I’m hourly. So maybe the experience would be different somewhere else. I certainly felt much different in my industry job post-undergrad

Whereas the last 2/3 years in academia I had lots of time during the work day for little side projects. Especially because I was primarily working alone and no one was watching me. Probably worse work/life balance tho

I have to get up at 5am and then also have an hour commute, which probably takes most of the toll on me. And then when I get home 5ish, make dinner, decompress from having to find all the problems at work, it’s like oop ok time for bed. So I’m struggling to find time during the week for scicomm

There has to be a role out there where I can do research half my time and science communication the other half. I probably have to make that role but pffft whatever. Thats future meg’s problem

I miss research and I hate coming home so tired that I have no energy to commit to my science communication projects.

I think people want my clothing more than my prints and stickers but I do not have the time to print things nor the space to store things anymore. I’ve been looking at print on demand companies but I am fearful for their quality. Screenprinting is soooo preferred to me than anything else

I really don’t care, I do not have the bandwidth to do store things right now. But is it funny how little my store actually makes, even when multiple larger accounts are sharing it.
