Posting bad takes about good music.
An interesting mix between a chill almost vaporwave song that mutates into EDM with Alicia's strong vocal performance.

But Lonely Hearts is the first song I added to the list, its competed against every other entry and still when I listen to it today I will often jump back when I'm towards the end so I can get a second go. And If that is not a mark of how much I love this song, then I don't know what to say.

Part of me feels bad that my favorite song is an unabashed cheerful pop piece. Like I should be choosing some dramatic artsy jazz piece about pain.

People watching is more than just the second best Song of summer 2025. The album is also my favorite album of summer 2025. Sam Fender haunting song about watching a loved one pass away hits me in a deep way.

I love the chopsticks esque start of the song. While the vocals really bring in the songs cheerfulness. Also I do believe it’s the first ever song I hear with the line “thirst trap gonna get ya”

A wonderfull tribute to Luther Vandross, this song has not only poetry and flow but also an excellent contribution by SZA.

Oh hey, it’s a disco infused electronic song. I always end up putting a few of these in my list. The album as a whole "Jardin" Is great so make sure to track down the whole thing.

Here Triada turns it (and all their other songs) into a trio and they get around how short the song is by using the old trick of just repeating it with a bridge in the middle.

Our final third Bird song and also final second Cover. O Pato is a song by Jaime Silva and Neuza Teixeira first played in 1960.

A very piano forward celebration of love. The choice of instruments complements Rose's excelent vocals.

Born from a colab between Jenn Grant and Ria Mae. The lyrics apparently come from them both one uping themselves over who could write the most nonsense phrases. But what I love about the song is its strong metronome beat that goes across the whole thing, even the vocals.

It’s a breath of fresh air to hear him playing along with multiple instruments and even percussion. The album as a whole makes extensive use of samples from an old silver age movie which really adds a lot to the album as whole.

Foxwarren is Helmed by Andy Shauf, an artist I mostly know from his solo work where he plays extremely soft acoustic guitar songs about a relationship slowly collapsing like a flan in a cupboard.
