Yeah it's insane how much more dense the story gets. And it's not a case of me just cutting out more of our commentary for the early episodes, there's just way more to say about the later ones. I'm scared to see how long the final video covering the ending ends up being lol. hopefully under 2 hours

This isn't even to get into the problems with considering 106-139 as the same arc. Or at least, if we want to call it one big arc, the name WfP doesn't make sense. Maybe it did in 2018 when it was new and the scope of it was still unclear, but it clearly doesn't fit anymore.

better when it's viewed as the opener of an arc and not just as one piece of it, or even worse, just a chapter thrown into the middle of the WfP arc. I'm glad that Hayashi arranged it in this way and I hope that the movie format helps to frame it in this way for future fans. +

And like I said a while ago, I think that structure is why the Last Attack works so well as a movie. It's something small but it blew my mind a little to reconsider the structure of the story in this way. Mainly because 131 is SUCH a strong opener/prologue that works so much +

Then, just like in the Last Attack movie, 131-134 serves as the rising action of the Rumbling arc where the stakes are set, with 135-138 serving as the main battle (with the climax being Eren's death) and 139 as the ending/epilogue. +

WfP, it becomes:
106-116: Rising action, getting everything in place for the main conflict
117-129: The actual war for Paradis between the factions + all the plot developments
130: The climax of the arc, where the rumbling actually begins. We finally leave Paradis + we get big reveals +

a ton of plotlines unresolved:
-Gabis ongoing redemption
-The culmination of Jaegerist coup
-Levi/Hange fate
-Shiganshina battle
-104th's decisions of whether to fight Eren
-etc
So I don't think it makes sense as the end of the arc itself. But if you look at 106-130 entirely as+

Regardless, everyone seems to be in agreement that ~107-116 is the rising action of the arc (Hayashi seemed to agree given where S4P1 ends). Ch 123 (ep 80) is def the climactic moment of the mini arc of Eren/Zeke/Grisha in paths+ culmination of rumbling build up, but it leaves+

Side note: I have no idea why the wiki counts ch 106 as part of the Marley arc. 105, or even maybe 107, makes more sense imo. I understand that 106 could be seen almost as an 'epilogue' after Sasha's death, but in that case I feel like you have to include 107 as well. +

I think 106-130 should be seen as the WfP arc, and 131-139 (and their equivalent episodes) should be the seen as the Rumbling/Final arc. +

a long flashback sequence & the end of the aforementioned battle. Which is imo really bizarre. The rest of the agreed-upon arcs all have a well defined beginning middle & end and clear resolution of conflict. So in short like I said 2 weeks ago, I agree w/ Hayashi: +

grouped seem to place the split at either chapter 123 or 124. But even though that's when the walls come down, that's never felt right to me, because it leaves many plot lines unresolved (will elaborate below). It would also mean (in the manga) the Rumbling arc opens with +

This topic's come up a few times again in my comments recently, and with the Last Attack movie, I've been thinking about how I would group them. The dividing line between WfP and the "final" arc (what i'll call the Rumbling arc) is unclear. Most who agree that they should be +
