The Calvary hat is most recognizable from the Civil War. While not specifically Confederate, I don’t think anyone believes they chose that for Union imagery.

Given the origin of the picture, it’s fair to say that the Nazi imagery isn’t directly on DHS. But they also didn’t alter it out.
