I like animals, engaged buddhism, collecting books that collect dust because I buy too many, and hiding in my fortress of solitude. I am a tiny blue dot in what feels like an overwhelming sea of red hats. It's nice to see the bluesky.
I like reading them in order because there are a lot of jokes that reference earlier books. However, you can read them in any order and the first two are not a great introduction. They're not bad, I just think Pratchett hadn't found his voice yet for Discworld.

I plan to start composting this winter. I will say this about the election results: they lit a fire under me to implement projects I had been planning but also procrastinating on.

Not yet, but I work at a Veterans hospital, and overall, the patient population is much more polite and respectful to the health care staff than they are in most other hospitals. Both in my personal experience as well as stories I've read and heard from other nurses.

I am a nurse as well, so yeah... already have to navigate educating patients out of false information. I dread how much worse I expect it to get.
