like i don't know. why not choose love and smile and happy. and maybe you are doing that but idk. i don't have the ability to suspend my disbelief to get attached to a version of like, Emet-Selch that would actually be chill and not suck. even if i could, at that point that's just a different guy

i'm definitely not one to attach myself to evil characters and i do get irritated when i see people do that, which is definitely personal failing. it's just hard for me to grasp. like i have villains i "like", but i like them because they are effective in their role in the plot, not like, personally

...i just think there's no substance there. as a writing exercise sure, as an actual plot point or narrative? i don't know man. personally i don't like suffering so it doesn't do anything for me.
