I have such a soft spot for this film. Saw it in the theater with my beloved grandmother, who thoroughly enjoyed it. (Grandma also took me to see Star Wars twice and indulged me by buying 2 SW t-shirts at the iron-on-a-decal mall kiosk.)

I’m so disappointed in NYT and WaPo. Been a subscriber to both for decades. I was blind to their sanewashing for too long but like an ugly flasher, once you see under the trenchcoat, you can’t unsee it. Am choosing my journalistic sources more carefully.
