Having a presentation about Alan Turing only for some kid to say what they did to him for being gay was justified and having that happen was more important than his contributions. I was shaking.

Having a substitute art teacher at school in your group of 9 and no one shows up but her and one other kid. Then they start having a conversation with each other about how disgusting lesbian sex is, so you leave school to avoid the "homophobia class".

This leads to my next thought. Being gay isn't just about sex, it's also love and partnership. I'm tired of people reducing our relationships to just sex. I love my girlfriend, naturally I want to talk about her as a human being without hiding my love!

Some will ask why do you need to be open at work? Because it's very common here to be asked at work if you are in a relationship and we should be able to say "yes, I am dating a girl". I am not a liar, I shouldn't be forced to lie or hide who I love.

You get told by the only "lgbt support" group that even at the few companies with policies against lgbt discrimination it's best to keep private things private and not be too open.

You finally found her? Time to tell your parents you want to live with your "roommate" so they won't hate you.

Hard to find a relationship because you can't be open and everyone thinks you are straight. The lgbt community stereotypes you based on looks or even rejects you. Why didn't I change myself then? I am a person first, I wanted to find someone that truly likes me and I found her, just not here.

Being unable to get married in your "EU" country. Never feeling safe because of many documented cases of violence against lgbt women, yet people insist on claiming it's trendy. Being scared to wear any flag or even rainbow colors because you might get attacked. Almost no one being open at work.

Staying closeted and having to tolerate people say homophobic things around you all day or coming out only to be told you are straight or "at least bi" or "it's ok, my kid also went throught a phase". I've known I'm gay since I was about 11 (15 years ago).

Being an INFP doesn't mean you only prioritize feelings. It just means you value group harmony more and are more in touch with your feelings. Just how INTP's aren't emotionless robots, but some immature people want to think we are because it makes them feel cooler.
