Yes. Just different from yours 🙂

Nonsense. Players shouldn't be expected to do the umpires' job as well as their own.

I'm not disappointed because I'm not surprised and I don't wish to be associated with the cobblers being spouted by the Three Bs in your post.

In my locality the GMCL has a thriving softball U9 comp (founded 2002) and U11 hardball (founded 1992) as well as U13/U15 &U18 leagues. One way to make the sport cool is for clubs to introduce girls and women's cricket. Coolness inexplicably follows.

I was at Headingly in 1977 and applauded Boycott's achievement. However cricket is a team game and he was not a team player. He was reluctant to adapt to suit the state of a match if it might have a negative effect on his figures. His various autobiographical works reveal a self-centred individual.

Sadly it's easier to chat to the ex-county players coaching at private schools and sign up their customers.

Thousands of youngsters play age-group cricket at clubs countrywide. ECB ignores the chance to work with clubs to identify talent. Investment in club facilities, coaching and admin could establish an elite route open to ALL young players.

Boycott's decision to play cricket was a great loss to golf.
December 7, 2025 at 4:18 PM
Boycott's problem is actually that no-one is listening to "ME ME ME".
December 7, 2025 at 4:17 PM
Post match interviews are pointless. Broadcasters have time to fill, players and coaches are good at filling it by saying absolutely nothing of substance.

There is no chance of a revival of State School cricket, but there are many clubs running junior teams. These clubs could form an elite pathway for State School children. Investment would be needed in club facilities, coaches, transport and admin but cash doesn't seem to be a problem for the ECB.

Here's a thought. England teams are selected from a tiny minority of eligible players. 6%of UK children attend private schools, 60-70% of England teams attended private schools. I believe they do things differently in Aussie.

I understand that the chap who came out with this cobblers gets paid!

"Love Me Do" wasn't a UK No.1.

It's puzzling that YouGov hasn't been on the streets polling Reform supporters on their reaction to Fagash's schoolboy banter. I think that most of them wouldn't be too worried about it; he was speaking for them after all.

This would qualify.

I don't watch any TV news, but it is interesting to compare the content and presentation of BBC Radio news on the two stations I occasionally hear. Would you say the TV news is closer to R5 or R4 in these respects?

Don't know, don't care, next.

Could it be Rassie doesn't want to disrespect the Welsh?

Without his racism his "policies", such as they are, wouldn't exist.
