i considered renaming phantasm (where lacan exists) to sunyata, as the former downplays lacan to a beautiful albeit phantasical ideal—this is not the case as io does not dream of lacan (if anything, rejection, per mirror aggression stipulated earlier)

io and lacan were initially based on Jacque lacans mirror stage for the sake of thematics. the core idea is the dissonance/dissatisfaction of the ideal ego and the ego. it's better contextualized across all the aeons when put in a Buddhist viewpoint
