Life's a bitch, so I transitioned into one.

Anxious, AuDHD, Asexual, Agender.

I also like to write.
That acronym is so funny to me.
Transphobes live in such an echo chamber, they expect people to be insulted by a jumble of letters that look closer to a typo.
I see more people confused by it than offended.

So much of comedic writing is sitting in front of your screen repeatedly telling yourself to "be funny. BE. FUNNY!"

Why did you leave number 2 blank?
I would have typed something, which means your comment is objectively wrong and bad 😡 /s

I had a dream last night featuring a song with a banjo and the line, "I came down from Chicken City," in the style of Johnny Cash.

Then I woke up.

Alternatively, make the narrator a complete idiot so everyone will think your continuity errors are a stylistic choice

I've been doing 1 change a day since 2021.

On days where I'm in a writing mood, I'll write a few pages, edit a chapter, or fill in a description. Some days, I add a comma, and that's it.

For me, it's about getting myself to sit in front of and think about my work. I'm not gonna force anything more

One of the hardest things to realize in writing is that you can put too many good ideas into a story.

Maybe the real Silksong was the friends we made along the way

So many queer stories are "The most interesting person in the world X a random weirdo" and I love it

Turns out I'm really good at writing: "Character is mind-controlled to fight their best friend/lover"

So, uhh, until I publish something, that's just gonna be how I end all my manuscripts.

Another time, I was getting feedback on a query letter and was told to keep a dry professional tone through the whole thing.

I once posted an exert to reddit and got torn apart by someone who was very opinionated on the sci-fi elements.

I checked their post history and saw they'd previously commented about hating sci-fi, and they refused to read it.

Book reviews aren't written for the author. They're written for readers.

An author reaching out about a review has the same energy as barging in on a conversation and demanding people pay attention to you.

I recently learned multiple of my friends have DID, so alongside talking to them, I wrote a short story about it.

It was a great excuse for me to learn about them and how to be supportive.
