A work in progress: a glass fish tank with glass and wire weeds and a fish who's only auditioning fire the lead rule. #glass #craft #madethings

Looking for something on Google Maps and came across this unusual vendor. A pick seems like such an unwieldy tool for opening bottles.

I had some glass flames left over and now I can never throw them away. #glass #googlyeyes #lildudes

I've had an unexpected day off today so I've unexpectedly made a thing. I like the unedged look of cut glass and this one avoids any sharp points. #glass #waves #homemade

And the other goats, all keeping down unwanted plants in the Avon Gorge gully.

Magnificent hair on this goat in the Avon Gorge gully.

Remains of the old lifeboat station's slipway at Beaumaris. Very old. #anglesey #beach

A trip down the Bristol channel to #Lundy on Sunday, about the steam paddle boat Waverley. Amazingly blue water.

I've been practicing some packrafting. This pack has a boat, paddle, PFD, tent, mat, big sleeping bag, stove etc. So, river, rail and trail, with overnight camp but no driving.

Another river, the Severn this time. At sunset from the bank and looking a bit more grey next morning.

Paddling the Bristol Avon today. It was sunny and warm and relatively calm for March. Lots of birds, huge amount of plastic in the trees. #bristol #avon #kayak

I made this! Glass bunting. Or a jolly glass shard based weapon.
March 18, 2025 at 9:57 PM
Out on the #packraft yesterday on the #Gloucester and #Sharpness #canal. It's a shipping canal and so wider than there usual UK canal. Also warm and sunny. The bike can carry the boat and the boat can carry the bike.

Well done CO2 sensor.

I don't care how good the benchmark actually is they've earned their funding for the name alone.

Also in the Malverns, there seems to have been an incident in the woods. Rioting trees?
February 8, 2025 at 9:51 PM
Misty walk in the Malverns today. This was the longest sunniest view I had all day.

A new approach.

Glass class this evening, and the copper foil technique. This is a test piece before trying something more ambitious. Will be soldering over the copper next week.
