Like most fake international news from South Africa lately the concert was not cancelled. It was advertised as a christian event held by a south african for south africans and was completely sold out. Only two muslim pro-palestinians arrived but didn't stay long. Can verify as I was there.

Here in South Africa it really depends on the city. Cape Town is our Miami and housing is mostly unavailable (and unaffordable if you can find something) but most other places are fine.
