I’m especially enjoying chapter four, which gets into how the supposedly timeless image of the rural indigenous Palestinian gets dropped in favor of other symbols like the cosmopolitan or the militant, only to be readopted later when nostalgia among or resistance against other parts of (1/2)

But if you are a fan of that kind of thing I def recommend, what I have been able to understand has been fascinating
