The “perk” in question is for London where workers aged 60 but below retirement age get to commute to work for free, the cost of which is paid for via higher fares for younger workers. At very least align it with the State Pension Age

Depends where you live. In London the 60+ Oyster card gives free travel to workers BELOW pension age. How is that fair? For a tenner?

Our work centres on the need for a new generational contract. That older gens continue to vote for policies that will bankrupt their kids and grandkids e.g triple lock, will be called out

Why is asking for more government resources for younger generations within ageing populations, many of whom have voted in successive governments who ghost the young, & where wealth is conc among older asset-rich cohorts, ageist? Should older age lobby groups stop asking for more for the old?
