why anyone uses sass in 2024 is beyond me. it was a useful bandaid awhile ago but the scab has healed over nicely already.

GRDB + GRDBQuery. If I have to do CloudKit sync stuff (fingers crossed I don't) I use Harmony. You kind of get some of SwiftData's ease of use with GRDBQuery, but the biggest benefit is knowing if you run into a bug you can fork and fix. But that's never come up. :)

SwiftData is a massive foot gun. Starts out nice and easy but as you scale up you'll be pulling out your hair and looking for alternatives. Lots of paper cuts. Still better than CoreData though.
