They’re totally worth it. These are din rail mounted and simply grounded to utility on the branch circuit. I also have them outside, pole-mounted in a box feeding PoE switches/cameras/WiFi access points grounded to a portable generator rod driven in at the base of the post.

We had some super-close lightning strikes from a pop up storm yesterday and burned out 6 Ethernet surge suppressors between the house and our WFH offices/my work lab. These little $35 insurance policies protected tens of thousands of dollars of equipment so look into them if you are a network nerd.
