This weekend was snowy so I baked tow loaves of bread. They were heavenly.

This morning’s snow offerings.
The front yard- my car and the trees and bushes drooping with laden snow. The road is clear. The back yard. My pines and yard are coated with about 6-8” of snow. More of my backyard. It’s white. A view of my house and the office/shed from the chicken coop. My footprints are in the snow.

Got a fresh snowfall this morning. Took a hike in a different conservation land.

The stockings are hung and my Bayberry candle is burning. I don’t think it will last until midnight this year. Same store and company but it’s smaller and I think the wax has changed. Mulling some wine in my simmer pot.

Felt like baking today. A kitchen witch am I!
I made a sour cherry pie. Hell yeah! Baked a loaf of sourdough for my neighbor. Made some sourdough buns for dinner. Got turkey burgers with smoked Gouda and caramelized onions from a local place : Bob’s turkey farm. These were delicious and doubly so with the fresh rolls!

A merry solstice to all!
My sourdough bread was delicious, even if my snowflake pattern needs work. A plate filled with summer sausage slices with Loewensenf hot mustard, my snowflake sourdough bread with baked Brie and sour cherry jam and sliced apples. Not pictured is the solstice mead to wash it down.
