Visiting the Mariëndaal estate (Arnhem) is always a pleasure.

Guiding small groups through the ‘Hemelseberg area’ in Oosterbeek is always a big pleasure. Also this time I could show them the Tawny owl in his tree.

As you may know by now, I have a fondness for using the ‘wide angle’ feature on my smartphone. I combine it with the ‘Panorama button,’ but instead of the conventional horizontal shots, I go for vertical ones. I teach this technique to everyone who walks with me, and they all enjoy it immensely.

Mount Bromo on Java – where the earth breathes and the sky dances. With its mysterious mist, golden sunrises, and the deep rumble beneath your feet, it feels like standing on the edge of the world.

We sat on the edge of the crater, fascinated. It was a sunrise that will never be forgotten.

A bit of frozen fog makes all more beautiful

Tree-lined alleys in Warnsborn estate can be very beautiful.

One of the reasons I adore winter photography is because the delicate branches of the trees become visible, like intricate webs of nature. The fine twigs sometimes resemble gossamer threads, creating a magical scene. I captured this photo at Estate Warnsborn, Arnhem, Netherlands.

Capturing light with a camera is like painting with the universe’s brightest brushstrokes. Every moment holds a unique dance of photons, transforming ordinary scenes into extraordinary art.

In the heart of Arnhem lies Park Gulden Bodem, guarded by two old chestnut trees known as the Gatekeepers. Legend has it that these statues come to life at night, protecting the park’s beauty and guiding lost wanderers to safety.

Cycling through the beautiful Veluwezoom lady week was a magical experience. The trees were adorned with a stunning layer of frost, giving the landscape a fairytale-like appearance. It felt like riding through a winter wonderland, surrounded by the serene beauty of nature. A moment of pure Joy!
