Sorry but this has really been bugging me for some reason... what part of the story does the generated image help tell that the caption doesn't? The story would be exactly the same accompanied by a photo of a happy-looking otter in any context, this one doesn't even seem pleased!

I guess I don't see why you shouldn't do every category in your head before submitting. To me that's not poor construction, that's just a harder puzzle.

That actually makes a ton of sense, explains why the framing felt wrong in 16:9

Something about the camerawork in TGC felt odd to me, and it wasn't until I was messing with settings and found the 'cinematic letterbox' option which crops the image to 2.35:1 that I realized it was because the game is shot like a real movie and I'd basically been seeing the open matte version.

I was embarrassingly late to Vertigo and I'll admit it didn't really work for me compared to my fav Hitch pics, but the one thing that has stuck with me is how devastatingly cool and charming and charismatic Midge is. Novak who??

Grammatically, do the 14 corporations "have baseball"? Or did "baseball" as an entity have the consciousness to appoint him to a position? The former doesn't make sense and the latter sounds implausible.

Likewise, "...14 Canadian corporations with baseball installing him as the primary decision maker..." seems to be missing a word (editor here, hi! sorry!)

This completely changes the tone of the rest of the movie - if you're watching in English, she's a nice quirky lady doing nice quirky things, but if you're watching in French, she's a chaotic gremlin who just wants to see what people will do if she pushes them in certain directions.

This scene is probably the most impactful English translation problem I've ever encountered. In the original French she doesn't decide "to be a do-gooder", she decides to "se mêler dans la vie des autres", which means to "get involved in other people's lives" or, less charitably, "mess with people".

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Shawn Levy thinks he's the next Steven Spielberg but he's really the next Colin Trevorrow only with even less human empathy and emotional intelligence.

I'm not a Romance guy but depictions of deep meaningful emotional human connection really get to me. I cry at pretty much every Wachowski picture, pretty much every time. They just get what it means to love someone.
