Happy Halloween! I wore a Dracula inspired coord from stuff I already owned like I was Wisdom K or something. I did get a lot more kids trick or treating this year because of everything awful going on in this country, glad I bought 3 bags of candy.

baked a plum and cherry crostata from Food and Wine magazine. I've never baked crostata or made pastry crust before, so this took 3 hours lol. the amarena cherries taste a little medicinal, but overall good use of lots of plums.

Went to Arlington today for the autumn moon festival, to see the lion dance and check out the stuff going on. Got a lavender matcha too. But now I'm tired of the outside and people and culture lol like these guys. 🥮

Order from Hasbro before the price increase and had to get steampunk set of Optimus Prime and Starscream, my faves. Op transforms into a steam train engine, ss into a bat-like biplane. Gorgeous box art, toys on model, so creative yet recognizable and somehow affordable ($30 each???)

I survived the chicken Marrakesh (doubled the spices per recommendation and it was so tasty) so I made another danger recipe, thin mint chocolate cake with ingredients past their heyday. Seriously delicious. And maybe deadly! If I'm lucky 😆

Went to a new ramen dumpling place last night and this jasmine milk tea kept me up all night (late dinner). I'm not sure I would take anyone here though except to look at the giant boba cup outside and the robot server inside lol
