Time at UA is fun, but full of hardships. She just stays in the back of her classes and keeps to herself mostly.

But she's aiming to be the hero her parents always inspired her to be before both their deaths.

When her mother passed due to an illness at age 12, she fell even more depressed. She was then going through so many orphanages, due to it not working out ever.

Now, her time at UA, she is one of the students who is more quiet, less bubbly and more introverted.

Afterwards, her once happy, bubbly, outgoing personality now gone, replaced with a more quiet, reserved, introverted personality.

Her mental state worsened, her insomnia worsening too. Everything took a toll and she blamed herself for every little thing.

Though, when she turned eight years old, her father died from saving civilians from a villain attack. Mika's world started to fall apart after his death.

She would then begin to question if she was to blame by pushing her father too hard.

The female finds herself staying up though. She has some nights she sleeps, but other nights she stays up for days or so. At first, her parents thought this was normal kid behavior, seeing as kids never like going to bed, but ... She stayed up for three days straight one time, concerning them.

Seeing as she had to rely on her quirkless mother for help when she didn't want that in the first place. From an early on age, Mika showed signs of her quirk, insomniac.

While most kids needed sleep, she could go continuous nights without sleeping, which isn't healthy.

Though his hero work often made him stay away from home often than usual. Despite everything, his absence in question made Mika's home life more complicated. Mika idolized her father, but hated him for his frequent missions that kept him away for so long.

Mika was born into a family of heroes, her father, Haruto Takaska was a famous nocturnal pro hero known as Starshroud, whose quirk allowed him to manipulate starlight and shadows. His popularity made him a beloved hero by everyone in Hosu City.
