Book 6 of 2025 was Lore Olympus: Volume One by Rachel Smythe.

I’ve had this series on my list to read for a while, and I picked up the book at an unplanned bookstore trip, so I took a short break from Fourth Wing to read it today.

Looking forward to continuing this series!

41 days until same air as Brayden Point!

Yes, I did, in fact, buy Hello Kitty Island Adventure.

Not just for the South Park luls.

It’s also a LOT like games I already obsessively play.

So basically it’s the perfect game for me.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Book 5 of 2025 was Hell Bent by Leigh Bardugo

Just finished this one, and I’m left speechless! What a thrilling ride through a world of magic and mystery. Highly recommend! ✨📖 #FinishedReading #HellBent #BookReview

This cold is disrespectful.

I know it’s January, but fuck.

If there’s one thing in this world this cat loves more than food, it’s plastic bags. #catsofbluesky

One thing I will never understand about truck drivers is this: if your appointment isn’t until 3 am, why do you show up and take up space in my lot at like 8 pm?

It is 12° outside, I should not have to walk all the way up to almost the road to tell you to move up.

Book 4 of 2025 was Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo.

This one was set in the real world, with a recurring theme of secret occult societies at Ivy League colleges, which made this an interesting read.

Book 3 of 2025 was The Five: The Untold Lives of the Women Killed by Jack the Ripper by Hallie Rubenhold.

This was an interesting look at the lives of the canonical five, and the author focused more on the women than their murders and who committed them.

4.5/5

Book 2 of 2025 was The Green Mile by Stephen King.

I’d forgotten how absolutely heartbreaking this book is, as it’s been many years since I last read it.

10/10 will read again.

Random earworm of the day is Digital Get Down by **NSYNC because nothing says surprise double at work like a song about cyber s*x, apparently.

When you have to be awake at 4 am for work, and your body is super confused as to why we’re going to bed at 8 pm, suddenly it’s 10 pm, you’re still awake, and you say fuck it, if I’m going to be awake, I might as well put the game on, and that’s the story of how I ended up watching hockey tonight
January 5, 2025 at 3:09 AM
I decided to watch Wicked.

I have a personal grudge with anything Wizard of Oz related, so I’m not sure why I thought I’d enjoy this, but I’m an hour in and I don’t get it.

Book 1 of 2025 was Saga #71.

I wasn’t expecting this for another few days, so getting to make this post so soon after midnight is cool.

There have been exactly two pieces of media that I have thoroughly enjoyed right up until the twist at the end, then I was mad
-the movie The Village
-the book The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon

Like, why?! They were solid stories before the bullshit endings.

Just paid $4.14 for a new hardcover Stephen King book because I had $15 in rewards from Barnes and Noble. No idea when it’s going to show up, but for four bucks I don’t care lol.
December 14, 2024 at 7:03 PM
There’s a book I want to pick up a physical copy of. Amazon has no idea when it would be delivered. I could go to one of the 2 Barnes and Nobles I frequent, but one is at the mall and the other is at a large shopping center, and it’s Christmas shopping season so no fank you. Or Walmart, but also no.
December 14, 2024 at 6:44 PM
There’s a game going on in one of my groups where you have to match the lyrics to the Christmas song they belong to.

My brain saw “bells on bobtails ring” and instead of the tune of Jingle Bells, my brain sang it to the tune of Beauty and The Beast.

I am fundamentally broken lmao

The unhinged voicemails my boyfriend leaves me when he calls while I’m at work are kinda my favorite thing ever
December 5, 2024 at 10:58 PM
Will 2025 be the year I actually pay attention to the wheel of the year and moon phases?

Probably not, my brain is squirrel. But I’ll try.

Mormon history is fucking fascinating. I’m on my third book this year where the subjects were LDS (2 true crime and 1 memoir) and the current book I’m reading is going in depth on the history, and it’s crazy.

(I’m Pagan though, so I don’t care about the religion itself)
December 4, 2024 at 9:08 PM
Due to unfortunate circumstances (the sun is up), I am awake.

Good morning chucklefucks. Take your meds. Drink some water. Grab life by the horns and scream NOT TODAY, SATAN.

You know, self care.
December 3, 2024 at 12:58 PM
A book I’m currently reading has just about convinced me to finally sit down and actually read a certain religious text.

Not because I want to join that religion. (I’m pagan, so nope, no thanks)

No, I’m going to read it for the luls. Because holy shit, it’s insane.

Just had a truck driver fake truck problems so he didn’t have to leave the property like I told him to 3 times. They miraculously went away once I started letting trucks stay. Funny how that works.
