I joined the ranks of Post Secondary workers after having worked almost 10 years in the tremendously impoverished public school system - a school system that I'd seen dwindle in resources for the full span of my childrens' K -12 experiences (2000-2019).

General thoughts on accommodations and UDL
(The following represents my own thoughts). Each year there are a percentage of students in post secondary who go through the process of gaining accommodations for their coursework. This is not specific to any one institution and is expected practice across all colleges and universities in Canada. Students are applying for accommodation in greater numbers (Copfer Terreberry, 2017) and discovering that the process and practice can, in some cases, take more time and have different barriers than if they hadn't applied for them at all (Bartolo, et al., 2023, Dolmage, 2017, and Parsons, et al., 2021).

For those following the story of unidentified men violently dragging a protester from a local Idaho GOP meeting, it turns out they were from a private security firm called LEAR Asset Management. For those following the story of unidentified men violently dragging a protester from a local Idaho GOP meeting, it turns out they were from a private security firm called LEAR Asset Management. Yahguudangang (To Pay Respect): 12,000+ historic Haida belongings are held in 300+ global institutions. They were removed during genocide and colonization c. 1800-1900s. So far, our Nation has repatriated 500+ Ancestors and hundreds of Belongings, and we've made dear friends/allies along the way <3

Deeply enjoying the shift from thumbnails to more finished composition in the multi-step process of story development. Love returning to these drawings to where work ‘came’ from.

Community-led collaboration sessions in our region - another modified PATH! Talking with families and service providers about where the gaps are for folks with disabilities. This is part of a MUCH larger project across the province. We are playing a small, regional part. Grateful to do this work!
