You can get away with dunking parts in a tote filled with alcohol. Then letting them cure in the sun. If you don't want to buy a wash and curer, tho mileage may vary.

You will need gloves to handle it safely. But it's not like super toxic, as long as it's in a moderately ventilated room and you wash your hands thoroughly, then it's 100% safe to handle :>
