I'm a bit of a dabbler in OSDM, but Left Hand Path from Entombed is an insanely great record and I can't believe that it sounds that good for such a tone-pushing album recorded in 1990.

All treble and no bass. There's no chunk in the rhythm, the tremolo picking can be grating instead of pleasant, and the clarity in single note runs/arpeggios is lacking. When you correct for those issues, it's like a magic trick.

I can't do the lo-fi 2nd wave thing. There are a few songs that shine like diamonds in the rough that I like but for the most part it's a frustrating exp to hear something and think "this would slap if it didn't sound like 2 chihuahuas mixing it up in an ikea parking lot".

Mt. Dew + Whiskey is an abomination of soda/liquor cocktails. Brown liquor should only go in dark sodas (colas, root beers), and clear liquors (not sure about white tequila/rum) generally go well in lemon-limey/citrusy sodas like mt. dew or sprite fairly well.

imo if you are decked out in that much bucee's gear you should just be naturalized immediately
