Attorney, Geek, and Corgis are the best.
Kavanaugh is the apotheosis of white privilege.

I'm hispanic, an attorney and citizen. We had ICE smash car windows at our local courthouse not even a few weeks ago. Kavanaugh never has to think in advance what he might have to tell ICE. I do.

May his legacy always be spat upon.

I wonder if her engagement agreement says anything about a certain client indemnifying her in the even of sanctions...(not suggesting *that* clause wouldn't have its own ethical issues)

That last line of the statute feels like an escape hatch for Comey but the first line says dismissal for any reason.

I do agree that Judge Curie intended for this to essentially be a time machine back to the day of the indictment, but how that interacts with the statute is unclear to me.

From one lawyer to another, I am struggling to understand the ease with which so many lawyers in this administration engage with fraud and misrepresentation before the Courts, or at least turn a blind eye to it.

Despite our ethical rules, how did our profession fail and how do we fix it?

I know it's not much given everything, but I do take comfort from knowing that DOJ leadership are *terrible* litigators.

That doesn't mean they aren't dangerous but hoo boy, I do enjoy knowing that they are cargo cult lawyers, mimicking what litigators do without any actual understanding.

They truly look at the genre of Cyberpunk and think:

"Yes. That's the goal. Neon colors and holographic billboards. Its going to be so cool. What do you mean dystopia?"

/2 1. Real human beings will suffer from even a brief stay. 2. The government's position is transparently dishonest and in bad faith. 3. The Supreme Court has lost any benefit of the doubt. They have lost the mandate of the heaven that is the rule of law.
