I buy beef from local Hutterites. Better value and hyper local.

If I have to eat out, I go straight for ethnic places. Jamaican patties, samosas, Korean fried chicken, Lebanese cheese pie, all are far better value than a burger these days.

Is it the inability to use apostrophes?

It’s miserable but passes quickly. I was living overseas when my kid was in daycare. It swept through the daycare, came home with my son, and spread to me. It was bad in his mouth and diaper region, but mostly affected my hands.

Not just that, school divisions will be expected to decide whether to use that money to hire teachers or to pay for assessments and therapies.

🤦‍♀️
When lay people think they understand science better than scientists and medicine better than doctors, we’re all in trouble. Actually we wouldn’t be if the UCP didn’t pander to the fringe.

Teachers sacrificed a lot to bring attention to the crisis in education. If we managed to start the ball rolling to rid Alberta of the UCP, I’ll feel it was worth it!

There’s been one reported death of a baby. Measles also causes stillbirth. How many have there been? Is anyone tracking? Anecdotally, I’m aware of several.

That is really dreadful. It’s no wonder it had such an impact on both of our grandfathers. I’ve visited the memorials at both Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Seeing the photos was remarkably upsetting. I’ve gone back on separate occasions with my son and my parents and the impact was the same.

My Grandpa was a bomber with the RAF. He once told me of flying over Dresden after the Americans had bombed it. He said the bombing had been so imprecise that his crew was unable to identify any targets. it’s the only city I remember him discussing by name, apart from London.

The spread has been largely in religious groups that are harder to reach. That being said, our government panders to fringe ideas so there’s little encouragement to vaccinate.

I have to mute the guy. You’re way stronger than me!

Luckily not all of the craziness of a UCP AGM makes it onto the order papers.

Who’s going to want to work here? You sign away your rights when you sign a teacher contract, apparently.

Anyone with any sense should be alarmed. We take these freedoms for granted and who wants to do otherwise?
November 8, 2025 at 4:03 PM
I especially liked the explanation for this change. Ring roads have made city commutes faster, so rural Albertans also deserve to save time. UCP pander to rural even when it makes no sense. Greater speed requires greater following and braking distance. That may be available some places but not all.
