#MailCall catchup - I…uh…may have gone a little crazy recently with my Blu-ray purchasing. Most of these were bought at a discount (some as cheaply as $2-3). I’m going to start whittling down my DVDs and replacing my favorites with either Blu-rays or 4Ks. #physicalmedia #filmsky

O is for Ocean’s Eleven. I LOVE heist movies, and this may be my absolute favorite. Clooney was made to play Danny Ocean, and Pitt’s Rusty is hilarious. Add a fantastic supporting cast and a snappy screenplay and you have this classic. #filmsky

N is for Nope. Listen, I was not a horror person for many many years. Even some thrillers were too much for me. Nope is one of the first horror/thriller films that I loved. The acting is fantastic, and the growing sense of dread throughout the film is a masterclass.

M is for Man of La Mancha. I was raised listening to this soundtrack, and the film is such a beautiful portrait of love and joy and honor. The Impossible Dream still ranks as one of my favorite show tunes of all time. (Yes, I know I’m behind on these, I’ll finish eventually) #filmsky

K is for A Knight’s Tale. This is one of my #feelgood movies. Heath Ledger and Paul Bettany absolutely shine, and the hilarious anachronisms through are just a bunch of fun. #filmsky

I is for In The Heights. I was in the bag for Lin-Manuel Miranda from the first time I heard Hamilton, so I was thrilled when In The Heights came to theaters. I didn't watch Brooklyn 99, but I love the attention that Stephanie Beatriz got over how different her real voice is!

H is for Harvey. Sorry I missed a few days, life got a little hectic, but moving on. Harvey was such a fascinating film to me, both on its own and through the lens of Donnie Darko.

G is for The Great Muppet Caper. I have been a giant Muppets fan since a very young age, and this is one of the classics. #filmsky

F is for Fantastic Planet. An amazingly weird French film. #filmsky

E is for Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas. At 48 minutes, this is more of a TV special, but holds a core spot in my heart. ❤️
