Steal it from another county. Who does that impact? Farmers & agriculture; families; emergency services; public infrastructure.

👉🏽 Property taxes fund our local services —schools, parks, community centers, police/fire/EMS. The #indgop thinks towns/cities are just flush with cash. For many that’s untrue. Expenditures can’t exceed revenues or services get cut — services necessary for community comfort, safety, & prosperity.

👉🏽 Property taxes are a hot topic because it riles up wealthy GOP donors and voters. It’s an issue the state should leave to local gov’t…but it won’t. Speak up and out against any legislation that would stifle home rule and prevent local gov’t from exercising its budget and taxing authority.
