Is there a worse fate for a city than to become Atlantic City?
Echo chambers aren’t bad. It’s when they turn into cults they seem to be a problem. They become an epistemic bubble and reject truths outside of the bubble. You can create an echo chamber where we can reinforce the truth. This is just my opinion.

This is a problem with all media now and not exclusive to BlueSky. The conservative hugbox proved effective, unfortunately I don't think liberals can shun the stratagy. It just can't lose accountability to the facts. It's a scary environment IMO.

You probably aren't ever selecting for "bad user" you are probably just selecting for the people who are not part of the social networks ingroup. In the case of X that would be the users who don't like the toxic environment. Most Social media in the past tried to avoid the toxicity but X indulges it
