On July 21, 2024, Vivian Burks, a 65-year-old Black great-grandmother, was brutally tased four times by police in Walnut Grove, Mississippi—while pleading for help, stating she was sick and had diabetes.

When you contribute to our Survivors of Police Violence fund, we directly give that money to those affected and in need. And we continue to work with women, trans and gender nonconforming folks affected by police violence to help with their healing and recovery.
