Is the intended implication here that “being accused of communism during the Red Scare” is equivalent to “being convicted of child sex crimes”?

Lol there’s a theorist called Imre Szeman who describes this feeling as a kind of “bad Utopianism” that he calls apocalyptic environmentalism. It’s definitely tempting.

I’ve assigned it to college students as a way of teaching the concept of ecofeminism, which it basically articulates every part of. It’s so great.
