During her lecture on abolition and decolonial peace, Dr. Mahdis Azarmandi read from June Jordan’s Moving Towards Home — a moment that reminded us how poetry can speak where policy fails.

Held as part of the InnPeace Public Lecture Series at Universität Innsbruck.

At the InnPeace Roundtable, Isabella Muñoz Gómez drew on how the lived realities of women coca growers in Colombia expose how militarised drug policies, racial hierarchies, and patriarchal systems reinforce each other — and how dominant peacebuilding approaches erase the most affected.

At the InnPeace Roundtable, @jansun.bsky.social used South (Iraqi) Kurdistan and Rojava to show how modern nation-states map the world as a battlefield shaped by colonial violence, urging peace beyond the state through plural, autonomy-based coexistence free from domination.
