And it never ceases to amaze me that having a colourful video on YouTube works better than black & white. I put out a different short last week and got next to no views that was rendered in monochrome.

You can add me to that list. And because of in, my case that image for the audiobook that I loved, I looked up who this Scalzi author was. It got me to listen to Old Man’s War, Android’s Dream & Fuzzy Nation.

Sadly it holds true for so many professions and the world has lost out because of it. I hear it all the time about the bro’s club in the music industry where women constantly get played as little more than eye candy or outright dismissed from many positions like production mixing & mastering

So I wonder what is the line between a long song and an annoying long song. Looking back to some early Depeche Mode or Tangerine Dream or even more recent Silicon Scientist, they have some great 13min+ songs I totally enjoy.

sadly with the cost of generating this slop being almost nothing and a perceived potential award if it goes viral like some earlier slop has, the mad rush flood gates are swinging wide open

a good voice can make a bland book seem exciting and some voice actors just shouldn’t be in the profession. (too harsh?) perhaps. but some otherwise interesting books seem impossible to follow or understand. going from a whisper to almost yelling. bad recording with sibilance issues. oh my!
