Of the classics I'm actually not a big Quake fan, I always get distracted and I've never finished the campaigns. But I think the level-by-level format of QBJ3 may be the winning formula for me personally. I could see myself picking through all of these over a few months.

Also, I love J'onn J'onzz. The house is going to be all in on Ultimate Martian Manhunter once the collected volume hits. Maybe this year I'll try to read more comics.

The character beats are solid and the dialog was entertaining to read. I think the individual character arcs are great! But the overarching theme falls flat and the attempt to criticize America's shortcomings is subsumed by American exceptionalism
