The rally was wonderful, very exciting. I met a woman and her daughter at my hotel,had dinner together, and then went to the protest the next day. Jamie Raskin and Maxwell Frost were dynamic speakers. My friends were also at the Capitol on Saturday. 5,0000! Back to Sacto tomorrow .

Read this one when I was a junior in high school,1971. Two years later,hitch-hiked alone across Canada.Jumped off a freight train in Glacier National Forest. Thought I was an invincible girl and I guess I was. Never hurt. Thanks for the inspiration,Jack Kerouac.

Thank goodness for Scholastic Books. The teacher would give us order sheets every month and my mom would allow me to order 2-3 books at a time. I was a little girl in the 1960's growing up in the suburbs of conservative Orange County, California. Hungry for a heroine.
