I like the term or label "Apocalyptic Optimist". It has a nice ring. It conveys the seriousness of the issues of Climate Change with the optimism that it still can be solved and perhaps that it will be solved. I also like the term "Climate Communicator". I can own both labels for myself.

Paradoxically, and without bragging, I am watching out for the stress of local farmers, many of whom are now my friends. I did help support them by negotiating for them so that they could have a farmer's market location. I also was activist in setting up a GMO safe zone, one of the few in the US.

This makes strange sense in that I concluded that there are two Americas and only one of them is 47 trying to make great again, at the expense of the other.

I like this idea. After the wildfires hit our community, a lot of people had to, of necessity, work from their home. Many of them are still working from their home after recovery from the impacts of the EWE. As I moved from home to home waiting for mine to be rebuilt, I used online as a lifeline.

I have actually been fascinated about this, how the magas are into some kind of denial/projection (blame Bidon/dems). I am exploring it psychologically and sociologically. There is something strange going on. Some, after partners are deported, still will not vote dem. I suspect "gas lighting".

Thanks, I found where to get the book and even found another by this lead.

I still have not found a book by the search engine yet, but found a treasure trove of good articles online by her. Thanks!

I am very impressed with you and very happy with your posts. I am noticing a lot of putting down happening in the blind assertion category of speaking. You mentioned a book you wrote, what is it? I am interested.

Happy you made this connection. I have been vegan for over 40 years and was at least vegetarian for 8 years previous to this. I did learn that it is very good for environment. It also healed my childhood allergies. Animals seem to know if you are vegan by something they smell too.

We lost our house in a wild fire which to me was an Extreme Weather Event related to Climate Change. Our valley is now "fire adapted" and using resources to not only predict EWEs but also to strategize how to contain and put out these fires better. It has worked. I do believe it has saved money.

I do remember the current president saying on the news, before the 2020 election, "I promise to cheat, so you may as well give up now." I sometimes think what got him very upset with Bidon was the he had cheated and still lost!

I assume that this is in the bill in the Senate right now? I know the Senators in my state are against this bill. I hope anyone who is in a state that has a Senator who is in favor of the bill and who opposes the bill should speak up and let the Senators know.

I am happy that I am getting the information I am from all the Bluesky posts. I have been reposting some of the links mentioned on Facebook, to reach a wider audience. It converges with a lot of studies from a lot of scientists. I am also doing carbon wise living. I hope this wisdom spreads.

If it is possible, some legislation to require they display a proper police ID number and give something like Miranda rights to their victims, and even to have an actual warrant for arrest signed by a real judge, or some kind of protocol that shows a similar due process.

I think you give the same priority about Climate Change and Extreme Weather Events as I do. Yet it seems that this regime is interfering with effective action and needs to be dealt with first.

I have been posting a lot about Climate Change and Extreme Weather Events on Facebook. I have imported some of the things I read on Bluesky into that environment (through the links, I would not violate any privacy), especially F. Otto's work with Attribution Theory. It is being well received.

Thanks for sharing this. It seems he also talks of deals he has made that also never happened. I am curious if any of his most loyal followers noticing the inconsistency?

I remember reading Mother Jones magazine about 50 years ago and was happy to see another generation of activist reporters. Thanks, David Ho, for posting such relevant information. Blessings.

It is refreshing to read the posts here on Bluesky and happy to meet you in this environment. It is nice to have agreement about things like Climate Change and lets not deport anyone, etc. It feels good to be with people would feel this is common sense, and have a conscience and a good heart too.

Thanks for posting as many news items as you do. It keeps me up to date. Sometimes I wish the news was better, but I still want to know.

When my mom was in Memory Care for Alzheimer's, she would periodically "sundown" and would go into a strange kind of hostile talk. This curious "Easter" message reminds me of when she was sundowning.

One of my recently retired friends had a department that was cut of funding. They downsized, but then he had to travel about 8 hours round trip to work. They also closed down the CDC and its publication. The last journal was tracking the Avian Flu and he was part of the university immuno team.

I agree, optimism is one of the seven factors of enlightenment that the Buddha had taught. It combines with persistence, attention, and sustained inquiry to keep a process alive until one breaks through.
